IT asset management

Know where every device is — without the spreadsheet.

A device register that actually reflects reality, fed by both manual entry and on-prem network discovery. Track 800 Chromebooks, 200 staff laptops, smartboards, projectors, server hardware, and AV racks across multiple academies. Stocktake without bringing the school day to a halt.

Real features. Named, working, in the product today.

No "coming soon" blocks. No "planned for v2" caveats. Everything below is in the demo we'll spin up for you.

Asset register

Per device: tag, serial, model, status (in-use / spare / repair / EOL / disposed / lost), assignment, location, purchase date + cost, warranty expiry, replacement-due date.

Cascading filters

Academy → site → building → category → status → warranty → assignment. Save view combinations for one-click recall.

Asset categories

Each category defines lifespan, depreciation, refresh cycle, default warranty, compliance requirements (PAT-testable?), tag prefix.

Software licences

Track licences per product, total seats, allocated seats, expiry. Reconcile against staff counts at term boundaries.

Bulk operations

Mass-reassign, mass-status-update, mass-relocate. Print asset-tag stickers from a multi-select.

Network discovery

Lightweight Go agent (one per academy) reads ARP / DHCP / mDNS, reports new + changed devices. Match to the register; flag the rest as "discovered, unmatched" for review.

Stocktake

Open a stocktake, walk the buildings with the mobile app, scan asset tags. Reconciliation report shows verified / missing / surplus on close.

Disposal trail

WEEE-compliant disposal record per asset: method (recycler, sold, donated, destroyed), date, recipient. Disposed assets stay in the register, hidden from default views.

Replacement planning

Sort by "replacement due in next 24 months" grouped by category. CFO gets the refresh budget; IT gets the procurement list.
